I'm slowly starting to get things back together with my collection. The house renovation is done and I bought two new bookcases for my toys.  Here's my progress so far: [link]

I will probably need at least two more bookcases for the rest of the things that are not shown there.  It was a lot of work xD  

I am going to try to ease back into collecting. The prices suck right now and I can't spend money the way I was before, so I will need to be more selective and thoughtful about my purchases.

I need to do a completely new inventory. I know I started one before I began packing, but I was working from the old one and as much as it would be a pain in the ass, I really think I should just start fresh. I know there are like soooo many items (like over 500 I'm sure), but I think I can do it if I just do a little a day. Maybe shelf by shelf once everything is back up? I know it will be worth it to have the accurate records.  I wish I was a better bookkeeper

I'm way behind on updating this gallery with new things. I've added a few new things, but there's probably 50 items I need to photograph and post still. Meanwhile, if you're interested in catching snapshots of everything new I get, I usually post them on Twitter as soon as I open them. ^____^

My entire collection needs to go into storage because we are renovating the house and the room the toys are in is having all the walls and ceilings replaced.   I haven't started packing things up yet, but I'm absolutely dreading it.  It's going to be months before I can set everything back up (hopefully with some new shelves!) so I'm going to do my best to take a little break from buying things while the renovation stuff is being done. No sense in things just piling up without any place to go!

I recently sold all of my dark blue box 1997 Irwin dolls to make room for some Japanese dolls I've been getting. I was sad to see them go, but really happy that they all went to one really happy collector!  I will miss Super Sailor Moon and Emerald the most. :')  I've decided to make a new folder in the gallery for things I've sold (it's at the bottom of the list). From now on, I will not be deleting things from the gallery when I sell them; I will instead be putting them into that folder so the information about the item is still available. It will also be a nice record for me of things with which I've parted.

Those are all my updates for now! I am planing on doing an inventory when I pack so that I can make sure my spreadsheet is up to date. Sooo much stuff!

EDIT: Also, my Super Sailor Chibimoon doll is out for repairs, having her bangs re-rooted! I can't wait to see how cool she will look

I didn't do the case at work or the extra stuff around the house. Tried to go a lot faster this time, too.

Yay toys.

I am waiting for a load of plushies, a special package from Yahoo Japan, something from Mandarake and.... maybe a few other small things to trickle in. Once I've got that stuff in I am going to do another collection tour video! (If you haven't seen the most recent one, it's here on YouTube!)  I will probably do the same thing I've done in the past with the music playing in the background.

The new curtains in the room are really awesome. They are very heavy and dark and they block all the light from the windows from coming in.  Soon though, I am going to have to pack up my entire collection. D:  We are going to be renovating the second floor of the house and they are tearing down all the walls and ceilings and ahhhhh, I don't even want to think about packing everything, it will be soooooo sad. I will probably cry. ; A ;

Hopefully once the rooms are remodeled I will be able to get those new bookcases that I want with the glass doors and stuff. :3

I wonder what I will do with all these toys when I finally have children. ._.

Well I finally feel like I can say this: never by anything from TheOriginalDollz24, Matthew Booth, SeRenity*MoOn (he's from IL). I bought "an original Japanese" Spiral Heart Rod and a World Crystal Star from him via Money Order in like... October or something. He sent me a Chinese wand and the Crystal Star, both without battery covers. Then he apologized for the wrong wand and said he's send the right one with the battery covers. I don't know if he thought I'd forget or something but months went by and I talked to him once in a while. He assured me things were crazy with people at home and he was going to send them, sorry sorry.  At one point he said I would definitely have them by Christmas.

I started posting on his Facebook almost every day starting about 2 weeks ago asking him to please follow up with me. He's now finally blocked me. Some of the last messages I left were things like, "If you aren't going to send me what I paid you for can you at least admit to it so I can move on with my life?"  He was deleting my comments any time I made them so he was clearly trying to hide it.

My Chinese SHR was in rougher shape so I kept the one he sent and sold mine, sans cover. I also sold the locket which I didn't really want anyway, but at a loss to me overall.

So yeah, just a FYI if you come across this guy.  Not to be trusted. Dunno if he has anything else to sell.

I am WAY behind on posting things to this account so I am going to try to catch up in the next few days. CURRENT UPDATES - June 6
I am back from Animazement and I made a lot of money selling my art at the convention so I've been on a buying spree.  I'm trying to be selective about what I get, even though people like ~OWcollection don't believe I'm capable of such a challenging task!   I wanted to save up for something awesome and cool like a lip rod or something, but I'm also impatient and there are a lot of things on my wish list that I'd like to get more than some of the big ticket items.

So far I am waiting for the following to arrive:
- a ton of books from the aforementioned ~OWcollection (she doesn't complain when I'm indiscriminately buying from HER)
- a PGSM Beauty Nail Set (I caved and spent $50 on it inc. shipping.  Ugh it's the last one I don't have and I really wanted it >_>)
- SMR Excellent Sailor Venus and Jupiter (bought Venus in a private sale and Jupiter was won in an eBay auction)
- 6" Irwin 1997 Chibimoon doll (still trying to find a few of these)
- SMW Chibimoon doll (stoked about this one, I think it's the last one I need other than a DX1 set)
- Italian Luna Pen (caved and bought it after watching Ochi's review)
- SuperS Venus doll from Bandai (I think I'm going to focus on the SuperS dolls for a while since I don't really love the Beauty Change Stars ones that much...)

I've also got a lot of things I haven't taken photos of yet like the three additional 1000 edition prints I've found in the last few weeks and those tee shirts I bought a while back.

Ochi is going to teach me how to use Yahoo Japan and then we're all in trouble. (This journal is very Ochi centeric, huh?  You think I have a crush on her or something?)

Before I blow all the rest of my money I'd really like to get the last two Cutie Figures that I need (Mercury and Jupiter) and possibly another Dream Pocket doll (still need Eternal Sailormoon, Sailor Venus, Sailor Neptune).  There's a few ESM ones floating around but they are all like $120 and that seems too much to me.  I would also really like to score a Japanese Pink Sugar Stick sooner rather than later.  I think it's my last remaining wand to replace.

There is that $555 World Musical Gashapon up on eBay that I'm sure some of you have seen.  I actually contacted the seller to see if they would take offers on it and they said no. Wa.  I want it. >,<

For the record (because people still ask about this): I do not spend any of my "real job" paycheck on Sailormoon toys.  ALL of the Sailormoon merch is paid for through commissions, merch sales and the money I make at conventions.

I really want to do another collection video but my camera keeps crapping out on me and now I'm running out of time with Otakon creeping up in July.  I will probably end up doing a video after that.

I guess that's all from me!  I am so proud of myself for being very strict and not spending money before Animazement so that I can be able to spend it all after! xD  It's really fun. >_>  AND NOW I HAVE A NEW MAIL MAN AND HE DOESN'T HATE ME.  (yet.)

Here's some questions I often get about my collection.  If you have any more questions after reading this, feel free to ask!   I love talking to people about Sailormoon, Sailormoon merch, and meeting other collectors!

Is *insert item* for sale?
Probably not.  The only items that are for sale are in the For Sale and Trade folder.  Everything else in the gallery is part of my collection.  The "Price" on the entries is the price I paid.  Offering more than I paid will not make me sell an item to you.  Saying "I know this isn't for sale but..." doesn't help either.

Where did you get everything?!
Every item in the gallery says where I purchased it.  As of March 2012, about 90 items in the collection were received as gifts, in a trade for other merch, or in return for art.  Around 200 items have been purchased from SeraSell - a private LJ community of collectors - or through personal sales with other collectors.  About 130 items I purchased from eBay.  The rest were bought from other online stores (Amazon, Catzia's, etc.), anime conventions, or comic stores. Some of my oldest items (such as the DVD box sets and English manga) were purchased in stores like Suncoast, Hot Topic, and Borders back when Sailormoon stuff was available retail.  My most recent merch has been bought from the new releases at places like Hot Topic and FYE.   I'm also learning how to use Yahoo Japan auctions through a deputy service. Currently I use FromJapan.com.

When did you start collecting?
I had a few Sailormoon things when I was in high school and college but mostly just English comics, DVDs, a doll or two, and a Cutie Moon Rod.  I didn't start seriously collecting until 2006 after I graduated from college when I had more time for commissions and also more space for everything.  I consider 2006 as my first year of collecting, though I didn't know it was going to be a collection at the time.

How much stuff do you have?
I have over 540 licensed Sailormoon items in my collection.
As of March 2012, the some of sections of the collection include: over 120 dolls, more than 70 keychains, around 90 plushies, about 70 figures, and almost 50 Wands and Toys.  

How much money have you spent on this stuff? How much do you think your collection is worth?
A lot.  ^__^;

How can you afford it?  Are you rich or something?!
I really cannot stress this enough: my entire collection is funded by my constant hard work on commissions and art sales through DA (on *sakkysa) and sales at anime conventions.  I do not spend any money from my ordinary work paycheck on Sailormoon toys.  I work very hard for this stuff!  I feel lucky and fortunate that I'm able to have the time to make art and have awesome people who want to buy it so I can continue with this hobby.  Thank you very much to everyone who has ever purchased anything from me!

How do you have room for it?
As you can see in the photos, I have a mismash of shelving that I store my items on.  My husband and I own a house and the second bedroom is the craft room/Sailormoon room.  I'm presently unable to expand anymore in that room.  I'm encouraging him to finish the basement! In the meantime, I've set up another bookcase at work and I've been putting some stuff there too. I also hang some of the nicer things like framed posters up in other rooms in the house.

How do you keep track of everything?
At some point I realized that the collection was getting too large to manage mentally so I made a spreadsheet with columns for: item name, what kind of thing it is (doll, plushie, toy, etc.), who made it, who licensed it, what year it was made, how much I paid for it, the shipping for it, what I think it's worth, where I bought it, how big it is and the corresponding image file on my computer.

What are you going to do with all this junk?  Isn't there more to life than material possessions?! ARE YOU INSANE?

I made a post on LJ and my blog recently detailing the different versions of the Starry Sky Orgel, AKA "Star Locket" from Sailormoon.  I am hoping to update theses posts as I learn more about the different versions of this toy so it can act as a resource and guide for other collectors.  Because there are so many versions of this toy, and because they are so expensive, it's a good idea to know their details. CURRENT UPDATES - April 26
Anime Boston was really fun! I found a few cute plushies in the Dealer's Room; I will post pics soon!  I didn't get to shop around as much as I wanted to so I'm sure I missed out on some nice things. T_T  Oh well, there's always Animazement! ^o^ (30 days!)  I also bought a few Nanoha figures at AB.  I am not sure if I am going to post them here since they really aren't Sailormoon.  What do you guys think? I could always post them on my other account, or I could make a special folder for them.

I've already spent almost all the money I made at AB.  Big huge thanks to everyone who came by my table and made it awesome!   I meant to save some of that money for the Dealer's Room at AZ.  Oops?  >_>  Too many good deals. xD I bought: 10th Anniversary DX Sailor Moon Plushie (the big one), a CereCere doll, a JunJun doll (that means I will have all four now, yay!), as well as a Dream Pocket Saturn.  I also bought another 1000 edition poster from ~princessfromthesky.  She still has some merch for sale so go check out her journal.

I still have a Super Sailormoon World Doll for sale.  She's so cute! This doll sold on eBay for $86 in February and $75 in December.  Don't you want to snag her cheaper?

I hate to have to keep posting these, but I do want everyone to stay safe and informed.  As always, please remember to BUY SAFELY, check references, USE PAYPAL (not as gift unless you are super sure about the person!), and ship with tracking!

Recently, it's come to my attention that there's a member of the community who has been buying and selling things from people to scam them out of money for many years.  At first, I chalked it up to being just a difficult person to work with, but now her history has come out and apparently she's been scamming people for upwards of 10 years.  

I know her as !Pixelmari but she's on DA now as !ChibiStar-Power ~BlackImari and !SailorUtena (possibly more accounts, too).  She has multiple LiveJournal accounts, many eBay accounts, accounts on YouTube and Facebook, as well as many forums and communities.  Her real name may be Mary Walker, but who can be sure with someone as skilled at duping people as it seems she is. Most recently, she has scammed SeraSell members out of over a hundred dollars.  However, due to a lot of research, the mods and member at SeraSell have uncovered a string of scams and fraud that go back to 2001 across many different collection communities.

This disappoints me greatly as I saw PixelMari as a fellow collector.  I listed her as such on this account and we chatted occasionally about merch.  I really didn't want to believe these things, but now that I've seen all the evidence it's really hard to look the other way.  I have more information that I can provide if I know you.  Please message me if you aren't a member of SeraSell and want to know all the details to protect yourself.  

To PixelMari if you happen to read this: I'm so sad and disappointed to learn these things about you. I hope that you can rethink your ways and imagine all the hurt you've caused people.  After 10 years of being a pro scammer I don't think you're likely to change, but I really do hope that karma comes back to you.  I honestly don't know how you can stand in front of your collection and SMILE knowing what you've done to people.  You are not a very nice person.

For those of you who don't follow me on and might have missed the News Article, the Sailormoon manga is making a full return this fall with the re-released new art covers, retouched pages, AND SAILOR V!  It also sounds like we're also getting a fresh translation and some new messages from Naoko, too! ^o^  This is HUGE news for Sailormoon fans! The USA is now part of the 2012 20th Anniversary world-wide revival of Sailormoon!  For my UK, Canadian, Australian and other English-speaking fans and friends - don't worry! I'm sure you can import these beautiful volumes from your American friends!

This is huge, huge news and I AM SO EXCITED!!

Collection wise, I've got a few things coming in the mail including a PGSM Artemis, a Beauty Change Mars, a new World Super Sailormoon and a replacement box for my beat up Irwin Saturn.  I will be selling my old Irwin Saturn and World Super Moon, if anyone's interested in those.   Once I get those items in I will probably do another collection photoshoot and maybe another video tour!
